What are cable ties (zip ties) and what are they used for?
Cable ties (also called zip ties) are plastic straps with a ratchet locking mechanism used to quickly bundle and fasten cables, wires, pipes and other items. They are used in electrical installation, construction, automotive workshops, agriculture and around the home.
What size of cable ties should I choose?
Choose the length by bundle diameter: 100×2.5 mm for bundles up to Ø 20 mm, 200×3.6 mm up to Ø 52 mm, 370×7.6 mm up to Ø 102 mm. Width determines strength: 2.5 mm holds up to 8 kg, 3.6 mm up to 18 kg, 4.5–4.8 mm up to 22 kg and 7.6 mm up to 45 kg. Kraften offers 8 sizes from 100 to 370 mm.
How much weight can cable ties hold?
Kraften Premium cable ties hold 8 to 45 kg depending on size: 2.5 mm wide ties hold up to 8 kg, 3.6 mm up to 18 kg, 4.5–4.8 mm up to 22 kg, and the strongest 7.6 mm ties up to 45 kg of tensile load.
Are Kraften cable ties UV-resistant and suitable for outdoor use?
Yes. Black Kraften cable ties contain UV stabilisers and keep their properties from −40 °C to +85 °C. They are suitable for solar installations, outdoor lighting, fences and agricultural machinery in permanent outdoor use.
What material are Kraften cable ties made of?
They are made of virgin polyamide PA66 (not recycled material) with UV stabilisers. PA66 provides high tensile strength, ageing resistance and UL94V-2 flammability class (self-extinguishing).
Can a cable tie be released and reused?
Standard cable ties are designed for single use — the ratchet locks permanently. The pawl can be carefully lifted with a small screwdriver, but for professional applications we always recommend using a new tie.
How fast is delivery?
Orders placed before 14:00 are dispatched the same day. Delivery in Lithuania takes 1–2 business days via Omniva parcel lockers. Stock is always available in our warehouse in Lithuania.
Do you issue invoices for companies (B2B)?
Yes. You can enter company details with any order and receive an invoice. For quantities from 1,000 pieces we prepare an individual wholesale quote within one business day.
How many cable ties are in one pack and how much do they cost?
One pack contains 100 pieces. Prices start at €0.44 per pack (100×2.5 mm) up to €5.64 for the largest 370×7.6 mm — up to 43% cheaper than DIY retail chains.
Are the cable ties certified?
Yes. Kraften Premium cable ties have UL94V-2 flammability class (self-extinguishing) and comply with RoHS and REACH requirements. They are suitable for electrical installations, switchboards and server rooms.
